A colourful start to our week

So, we kicked off week two of our September career course on Monday with an explosion of colour...if the students weren't awake when they came in, they certainly were when they left!

A classic hand tie with a colourful twist

It's bridal week this week and the students will be tackling a range of bridal bouquets using the most up to date and on trend techniques.

Monday was all about vibrant colour...not for your classic bride, but we are seeing more and more brides choosing to introduce bright colour pops to their day so we thought we'd challenge the students to create the brightest bouquets they could and get to grips with colour. We hope they brighten up your day too.

Resting with the world a while...

A blissful Sunday morning called for a lazy brunch today and although I am in the middle of packing up and making ready for a house move this week, I opted for a much needed lazy start to the day.

What better way to rest with the world a while than with a steaming hot cup of tea, a simple breakfast and some Autumnal flowers on the table. So, whatever you're doing today, I'm hoping you get time to rest a while too. These images are what's inspiring us today before the high voltage speed of the week ahead kicks in. And breathe...

Back to school...

So, today we got to use our long awaited new school bags and skipped into school in our shiny new pumps - well maybe just in our heads, but there was a real 'back to school' vibe amongst Team Tallulah this morning as we welcomed two new groups of students.

In the school room, we kicked off our September career course with a group of five budding new florists. More about them later this week. We cannot wait to watch them blossom over the next four weeks and are looking forward to sharing some of their work with you.

Over at the Royal Crescent Hotel we also welcomed a group of six Japanese students who spent the day dressing the hotel with stunning floral arrangements. Here's a sample of just some of their work today, our thoughts were transported to a whimsical English country garden and hope you are too!

Flowers fit for the Queen

It's been a hectic summer at the school - the best yet and while school has been out for the past couple of weeks, Team Tallulah have been engaging in some much needed R&R.

However, as all florists know, you're never really all that far from your next hand tie! To celebrate an epic 60 years married, Rachel created some stunning flowers for her parents wedding anniversary this week. Oh and the Queen sent a card - which was kind!

Soft Delphiniums, Ammi, Lisianthus, Scabious, Sage, Eucalyptus and vintage roses say Happy Anniversary!
