Wedding inspiration...

Last month we gave you a sneak preview of the Georgian styled wedding shoot we collaborated on at the gorgeous Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath.

Well, we've just had the final edit courtesy of the super talented Taylor Barnes Photography and we wanted to share some stunning images with you. So, not too many words today...just beautiful images to feast your eyes on thanks to a wonderful photographer!

Come and be inspired...

Nothing beats that feeling when you've just said 'YES' (well, you tried to be all cool, sanguine and French girl about it all but your heart was screaming YES, YES YES!), you have a shiny new engagement ring perched oh so delicately on your finger and you are officially PYW (Planning Your Wedding).

Well ladies we know exactly how you feel and Team Tallulah are passionate about weddings too - specifically wedding flowers. We've worked with some amazing (and some erm, more challenging) brides over the past few years and dressed some beautiful venues and we're ready to share all that inspiration with you as you start to think about your own wedding flowers.

Come and find your perfect wedding flowers with us

On Friday October 4th we're holding a bridal workshop in our creative school room to teach you the basics of wedding flowers. Whether you're looking to style your own event or need some bespoke advice about seasonal flower choices it's a perfect way to start your own floral journey.

Places are limited to small groups and you can find out more about our day courses via the website.

Wedding styling

So, on Monday we gave you the heads up on some of our extra curricular activities this week and we thought it was about time we let you in on some of the details.

A whimsical garden bouquet of hydrangea, roses, astrantia, senico and berried eucalyptus

Our bridal stylist Amy skipped off to the Royal Crescent Hotel to take part in a pretty styled shoot in the hotel and gardens. Luckily the skies stayed blue and despite a tiny downpour much fun was had generally frolicking around with flowers! Here are a few of our favourite early shots form the shoot but we promise to post more of the best bits once the full set of photos are edited.

With another styled wedding shoot scheduled for next week we can promise you more loveliness on the blog over the next few weeks.

Fireside flowers

Earlier in the week our career course students packed up their scissors for a floral styling day on location at the rather fabulous Royal Crescent Hotel, here in Bath.

After a whimsical walk along one of the most famous crescents in the world, the challenge was set - to dress a Georgian fireplace in one of the hotel's opulent Drawing rooms.

Teamwork - getting to grips with scale and height

With a vibrant mix of Hydrangea, Delphiniums, Dahlias, Veronica and lots of scented silver-green Eucalyptus the students set about creating their largest arrangement yet. Being wedding week, it's important that our students get practical experience of creating all types of wedding work - from the most intricate buttonholes and flower crowns to various techniques of bridal bouquets, large table centres, candelabras and fireplaces.

The finished fireside...perfect for it's opulent surroundings

A nod to the Autumnal bride

After the shock of bright clashing colours on Monday morning, the students were presented with an altogether different colour palette in the afternoon. At the beginning of this month our thoughts were turning to Autumn hues and so these more muted damson tones felt like a natural choice at the flower market this week.

A beautiful Autumnal tumble

This was a chance to explore a different technique and each student designed and completed a tumbling tear drop shaped bridal bouquet - a stunning choice for a more elaborate wedding or for any bride looking for something more wild and whimsical from their wedding flowers.

This week is all about weddings in the school room and we'll keep you updated with all the loveliness as it unfolds.

A colourful start to our week

So, we kicked off week two of our September career course on Monday with an explosion of colour...if the students weren't awake when they came in, they certainly were when they left!

A classic hand tie with a colourful twist

It's bridal week this week and the students will be tackling a range of bridal bouquets using the most up to date and on trend techniques.

Monday was all about vibrant colour...not for your classic bride, but we are seeing more and more brides choosing to introduce bright colour pops to their day so we thought we'd challenge the students to create the brightest bouquets they could and get to grips with colour. We hope they brighten up your day too.

Bold colours and unusual shapes create a Monday morning challenge
